Although boyfriend jeans look super casual I think that there are tons of ways to wear them and dress them up. I don't own all the pieces in the sets below but I do own some and these are general ideas of outfits that I would put together!

My Favourite Pink Beauty Products

I love wearing lots of pink beauty products in the summer; I find that a pop of pink lipstick or nail polish adds a touch of femininity to any look. Recently I've been reaching for these three beauty products and they all happen to be pink!

1. Essie in "fiji"- this is by far my favourite pink nailpolish. Fiji is the perfect light pink colour of nail polish and in the summer makes my skin look super tanned (which is just an added bonus).  Usually pink nail polish makes me feel like a 6 year old but this colour is just too pretty to resist. 
2. Revlon Colourburst in "Adorned"- I read about this lipgloss in another beauty blog a few months back and went on a mission to find it.  While in the tube it looks very iridescent and sparkly the colour does not look like that at all on the lips. It is just a true very bright pink lipgloss which is perfect for adding a summer look to any makeup design. 
3. Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL volume- okay so this one isn't technically a pink beauty product but the bottle is pink! I love this dry shampoo because usually my second-day hair is very flat and dull looking.  This dry shampoo is not only the best dry shampoo I've ever used (doesn't make my hair look greasy after a few hours) but also gives my hair tons of volume. It also smells great which is a nice added bonus.

The Best Eyeliner in the Entire World

...according to me! I've definitely written about this beauty product before, but I just cannot get enough of it. Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Perversion' is by far the best pencil eyeliner that I have ever used. I buy different mascaras every time I run out of my last one because I like trying new products, but I will never again try another pencil eyeliner. Perversion is the creamiest pencil eyeliner I've used-- which makes it so easy to tight line both the bottom and top eyelids. Although the softness of this product means it can tend to run slightly throughout the day, it doesn't require much upkeep to fix and in my opinion a little smudging is totally worth it for this awesome product. If you haven't tried 'Perversion' yet, you do not know what you are missing.

Five Reasons I Cannot Wait For Spring

While it may be thawing and warm in other places, Toronto is still near freezing. The above 0 temperatures today had me dreaming of one of my favourite seasons: Spring; and even better the fashion that comes along with it. Below are a list of the fashions that I cannot wait to start wearing (presented in polyvore style because I just cannot get enough of that site):

1. Converse- I will wear these shoes with virtually any outfit for a casual look. They pair well with jeans, shorts, skirts, and even in some cases a casual dress; I live in these shoes once the warm weather starts and I cannot wait to bust them out.

2. Army Jacket- I was absolutely obsessed with the army green trend last year and I cannot wait to start wearing this Spring jacket again.

3. Sunglasses- I am not one to buy expensive sunglasses, because mine always seem to get damaged or lost.  I usually just buy a bunch of cheap sunglasses at the beginning of each season and wait for my collection dwindles. Once the sun starts shining on a regular basis my shopping spree is going to begin!

4. Cropped denim- this one is pretty obvious. You can't wear cropped denim when the snow on the ground is up to your knees, but once it all melts away these short jeans can come back out.

5. Coloured denim- I love the return of pastel and bright colours once Spring starts. I have always loved the colourful denim trend as it adds a touch of fun to each outfit (especially since I tend to buy a mixture of black, white, and grey shirts).

So since I've been obsessed with polyvore lately I thought I'd upload some more of the "sets" that I've created. In these I've tried to replicate outfits that I've worn to work. I don't own all of the pieces in these sets (although I do have the black skirt with leather trim from Banana Republic and the MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus lipstick!)

I alternate lip colours on a day to day basis but I chose Boy as an example of a colour that I lean towards the most often. For the eye shadow lately I've been using Naked (the light beige colour) all over my lid, then applying Sidecar (beige with chunky sparkle) on the outer V of the lid, and then Buck (the lightest brown) in the crease. As with the lip colour I alternate my mascara daily (I use a variety of L'Oréal mascaras but lately I've been favouring the Miss Manga in Blackest Black. 

Trend I'm Loving: Cropped Sweaters

Working in retail obviously exposes me to a lot of new fashion all the time.  This season I've seen a ton of cropped sweaters (both in thicker and thinner materials) and love the many ways that you can style this trend.  These sweaters can be dressed up or down by layer pieces underneath such as a sheer tank top with boyfriend jeans, or you can wear this piece on it's own with a high waisted circle skirt. I've created some looks on polyvore to show the many stylish uses for this trendy piece.

2015 Resolutions

I am publishing my resolutions publicly this year (I am hoping this will make me more accountable and therefore will be forced to keep up with them). I usually try to have a variety of different resolutions-- a mix of job related/academic/personal-- so here goes!

1. Read one novel a month
2. Save more, spend less!
3. By the years end have a job related to the field I want to work in
4. Get down to a size 4 dress
5. Do something new each month
6. Explore more of Toronto (and attend Pride this year!)
7. Start planning for 2016 trip to South America
8. Post on my blog once a week
9. Catch up on the news every morning
10. Complete my Digital Marketing Management certificate
